Activity timeout fails to function on linux
I have been running Worklog Assistant under windows and linux. On windows, it nicely times out when I am not at my computer... and then asks me what I have been doing when I get back.
On linux, it doesn't time out and has allotted the 2 hours of meeting time to the project that I had running when I left.
I have everything set with the default settings on both system.

Through email we determined that by adding a symbolic link (as root):
ln -s /usr/lib/libXss.so.1 /usr/lib/libXss.so
Worklog Assistant was able to load the library necessary to fix greenkiwi's problem. Worklog Assistant will be modified to try libXss.so and libXss.so.1 in the future.
Thanks for your patience!

Inappropriate?Hi greenkiwi,
Sorry for your troubles.
On Linux, Worklog Assistant depends on the screensaver extension to work properly. Usually this is installed so that is probably not the issue. However, if you are on a 64-bit Linux platform, this will not work as WLA is a 32-bit application.
One way to be sure is to send me the debug log. You can do this by going to Help->Show/hide debug log and copying and pasting the contents of that log to sohail@worklogassistant.com -
Inappropriate?Hi Sohail,
Thanks. It is good to know that it is set to use the screensaver. Have the debug log opened and am letting it set to see if after 10 minutes the screen saver comes on and after 10-20 minutes, WLA should timeout.
I'm running 32bit Mint Linux 7 (a Ubuntu 9.04 remix) and gnome for the window manager/desktop.
I'll email the log after this experiement.
I’m Hopeful

Inappropriate?I cannot copy and paste out of the debug log. All I get are jibberish characters. Is the debug written out to a file?
