Do not allow duplicate worklog submissions.
When JIRA gets very busy sometimes tickets don't report back to WLA that they've been submitted, and so our guys submit the same ticket multiple times.
I'd like WLA to prevent duplicate submissions: if the hours/date/comment/ticket/etc are the same, stop or warn the user
Something like"Warning: Possible Duplicate hours being submitted. Do you really want to submit 2 different 1.5 hour worklogs against ticket JIRA-1234 starting at 1:23 on 4/5/2010?"

Of course, this is possible but I did not know it could happen. I guess my question is really whether this is happening for you.. -
Inappropriate?yes, it was happening for us last week,. I had to go in and de-dup triplicate entries for one user. We think our database was massively overloaded due to some other issue (we share resources with other apps).
It only happens when we have problems, and only problems where the transaction starts but never reports back. -
