Error remember the visibility status of custom column
I have found a bug regarding the visibility of non-standard columns.
On a couple of occasions the program ignores the fact I have hidden a bunch of custom fields and starts to show them again.
I notice that it seems to remember my settings for standard ones, but treats custom ones as new ones that it has not seen before and I guess the default behaviour is to show them.
It seems to be caused by the fact I was not on a network when I loaded the program at first. After it gave me a message about the SOAP API not being enabled (which is kind of ambiguous in this instance) I then quit, switched to wireless and then re-ran it.
At that point it connected fine but now showed all the columns I had previously hidden.
To confirm the problem, I unticked some of them, quit, reloaded and those columns were still hidden.
I then quit again, disconnected from the network and reloaded. I got the message about the SOAP API and noticed that only the standard columns showed (I guess these are hard-coded in the program).
I then quit again, reconnected to the network and reloaded.
At this point it connected fine and reverted to showing me all the custom columns including the ones ticked just before, while still remembering the standard ones that I always have hidden.

Inappropriate?Seems to be the same problem as this one: http://support.worklogassistant.com/s... but not sure if the cause is the same.
-
Actually, yes it is the same cause. Please put a vote on that issue so you can get updates. -
Inappropriate? There is a solution on the beta site here: http://next.worklogassistant.com . Can you give that a try and see if your problem is solved? I'm pretty sure it should be!
Thanks for the report.
I’m happy

this solves the problem

Inappropriate?Hi, that seems to fix the problem, as least as far as the steps I took previously to trigger it.
Thanks for such a quick response!
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate?Well, it's a generic solution which fortunately handles your case OK :-)
And you're welcome. -
Inappropriate? One thing I have noticed is that this version consistently doesn't remember the order of my columns. I like the 'Key' to be listed before the 'Summary' but every time I close it it returns back to Summary first, then Key for example.

Inappropriate?Ok, I've reproduced this issue.
-
Inappropriate?Hi, should be fixed now. Sorry for the inconvenience!
-
By the way, the website should be updated within the next hour with the new build. -
Inappropriate?Just tried it now - seems to be perfect.
Many thanks! -
Thank you for your patience! -
