How is a user's Jira password stored?
Using Worklog Assistant, a user is asked for their username and password once, then this information is cached somehow so the user doesn't need to enter this information again. How/where is the user's Jira login credentials stored?

Inappropriate?Hi there,
In all cases, the password is stored encrypted using the OS-provided keychain. This is cryptographically secure. This means the only person who is able to decipher the password is the user themselves (i.e., even I, the developer, cannot decipher it.)
The location depends on the platform:
- Windows: Registry under HKCU\Software\Somani Software\Worklog Assistant for JIRA\default
- Linux & OSX: Stored wherever the OS stores the keychain. I have no control over this
Does that answer your question?
I’m happy
