Inappropriate?Hey Eric,
This definitely happens when WLA gets shutdown forcibly. I had thought we would get a shutdown signal when rebooting but apparently not. Thanks for reporting it, I'll see if there is something I can do!
The reason the check is there in the first place is I had some reports of people opening it multiple times only to forget which instance they were using.
I’m happy that WLA was running when Eric restarted his PC ;-)

Inappropriate?A fix for this is now available in the beta. Please try it out if possible! Specifically, there were lots of technical changes that affect deployment and I'm curious to make sure there are no issues :-)
You can download the beta from here: http://next.worklogassistant.com
I’m happy. Woohoo! Now the sky's the limit.

Thanks for asking me about this again and again. It was just a technical issue preventing me from solving it!
By the way, you might be interested in adding a vote to the issue here:

Basically, the user is suggesting to take out the "Worklog Assistant detected" altogether and automatically launch the original instance.
I’m happy
