Seconds being taken off the booking
We seem to be encountering a rounding issue that suggests that seconds are ignored (as in not rounded up or down but simply removed from the work log entry) is this expected behaviour?
-
Not as far as I can tell. It might be JIRA chopping them off. Might be prudent to round up to the nearest minute in this case otherwise a few seconds a day multiplied by many users can be significant over the course of a year.

yes thats our concern. are you suggesting i use the rounding facility in the work log recorder for this?
thanks for the prompt reply BTW -

Yes, that's what I was thinking but it looks like that will not do the job.
Let me look into it a bit more and get back to you.
You're welcome. I try :) -

Ok, I've done some more research and there is an issue. Namely, JIRA doesn't allow seconds to be logged anyway...
Not sure what you can do about this. I'm considering rounding up if the time is above 30s or below otherwise.
What do you think? -

That sounds like the only option available to you, but it makes a lot of sense too. i'd be grateful if you could implement this.
Thanks for thr reponse -

Actually, I've already implemented this. You can try it at http://next.worklogassistant.com/down...

Dean, can you elaborate?
It should round up or down to the nearest minute depending on which side of the 30 second period you are on. -

By the way, was the 2h 5m 59s contiguous or did you have a worklog for 2h 5m and then start a timer for 59s?
-
The rounding only works on a per worklog basis.

If i understand you correctly then thats what i'd expect - i.e. i book onto sbs-338 for 2h 5m 59s, then i book onto sbs-424 for 5m 29s. when i publish them i woudl expect sbs-338 to have 2h 6m and sbs-424 to have 5m logged as 2 new worklog records.
I didn't do it (its one of my developers) so ill have to ask, but i would expect that its contiguous - we dont consolidate -

Can you take a look at this screencast here and let me know if this is what you are doing?

If you could give exact instructions to replicate, that would be most useful. -

New user of Worklog Assistant and have noticed this issue so wondering if it was ever fixed?
My timesheet shows an entry for 2m39s but in JIRA the worklog is 2m and a separate issue has 3m58s logged and shows 3m.
It appears to not be rounding up above 30s and so I've been losing time daily on the time sheets.-
Jody, on the Review/Pending worklogs tab, if you click "Combine worklogs" and then "Round worklogs" that will round to the nearest minute. Unfortunately, if you submit worklogs that aren't round numbers, JIRA will chop them.
